Rejection. One very powerful word and one very powerful fear that is present in so many decisions that we make on a daily basis.
I know for myself that the thought of the possibility of being rejected in a situation has a very powerful influence in the choice I make in that moment.
Will I look stupid, will I feel unloved, will I feel small? For the majority, if the answer is yes the natural instinct is to turn away from the fear and choose to remain in the safety zone.
Jia Jiang is a 31 year old entrepreneur and blogger living in Austin, Texas. After meeting Bill Gates in China when he was 20 years old he moved to the USA to pursue a dream of entrepreneurship. After being rejected for an investment opportunity and the feelings that this brought up in him Jia embarked on 100 days of rejection therapy to overcome the pain and most importantly the fear of rejection. The idea was to ask for such outlandish requests that rejection was a certainty and that this continued rejection on a daily basis would desensitise him to the fear and pain of rejection.
His crazy 100 days included requests such as asking to borrow $100 from a stranger, being the live mannequin and Abercrombie & Fitch, asking strangers for compliments and getting a live interview on radio.

So today, how are you going to get rejected?
