Be Awesome Call for Collaborators

Be Awesome has a dream to create a festival that will positively transform the lives of thousands of young people as they grow into adulthood.

Imagine an ordinary school day, disrupted by the arrival of a pimped-out bus on the school oval, that unpacks in a moment to form the most colourful and mind-blowing structure that a child could imagine! For this one day, students will dive head-first into a series of dream-like physical challenges, in the process discovering their own inherent strength and confidence and their deep connection with others. Through the experiences of this one day, each child will embody an inherent knowledge of their worth and their power to choose as they step into their teenage years and eventually adulthood.

Collaborators must be based in or able to travel to Brisbane, Australia and available and willing to commit to meeting once a week up until the end of May 2015. Collaborators must also give their full commitment to execute the awesome tasks that they agree to undertake during meetings and in the lead up to the pilot.

At this stage of the journey collaborating is completely voluntary. You must share the Be Awesome Vision and be driven by a deep desire to help a generation of young people to Be Awesome.

Don’t worry if you can’t help out this time around or you aren’t based in Brisbane. This is the first of many pilots before the ultimate festival takes shape and we plan to run these in a variety of locations as the festival develops. Regardless of your location and skill set, if you are passionate about being involved, there will be a place for you.

Please contact us by Tuesday 24 February if you’re ready to be involved in our Brisbane pilot or for more information. Thanks for your support and don’t forget to Be Awesome!
